Collapse Is Inevitable
Wednesday, 5 October 2005 22:08I wrote an entry last summer exclaiming that the poker boom can't last. I was glad to see Alan Schoonmaker writing about it. He even followed up with some advice on how to adapt. I suggest folks take it seriously.
For me, the worst of it is that I am just so busy with my job that I don't have time to take advantage of the now waning boom. I get in about 4 hours of online play a week, and I only get out to play in-person about once every three weeks.
I am hoping to get over some start-up hurdles at work, and then start paying attention to poker.life again. When I do, I've been thinking about taking up the online blogging job of reviewing NYC clubs, given that Riding the F-train isn't doing it anymore.
I'll reenter the poker world as the year closes, at the very least.
