You may have read me saying on my blog that I went down in November on Veteran's Day weekend. I didn't play NL very long during the trip, over an hour at the Trop waiting for the pink chip game, at the Showboat before a tournament, and at Caesar's waiting for the bus home. I suppose all three of the tables were fairly beatable, and maybe I could have made more money playing NL the whole trip, but I'm more comfortable (it's easier) playing limit and the nuisances of NL cash still annoy me.
I did play the 6/12 game at the Borgata when I was there, and it was okay but nothing spectacular. The 5/10 game the Taj the night before though, was incredibly juicy, except I was extremely card dead and lost for the night. And the pink chip game was a little bit tighter than the Taj game but it was also the one I actually won some money in.
Anyways, I found the Borgata really nice, the "cafeteria" under the poker room felt luxurious compared to what I think of a cafeteria being. I imagine staying in a room would make things easier but with the jitney's, being able to get a ride to the Borgata from one of the Boardwalk casinos can't be too bad. My friends and I are planning a trip for President's day weekend, so it should be nice to go back to AC, although I'm a little skeptical of going down their being a sorta-pro when school bills, trip expenses, and being better off playing online are catching up to me.
I don't mean to make a not-saying much long comment on your blog, but I also played in a 4/8 HORSE game at Foxwoods a few weeks ago you might get a kick out of. Wrote a short recap of it here if you want to check it out.
