I don't care for the stupid measures at the airport either but all you managed to accomplish was a) make this guy's job harder b) make your flight less safe c) inconvenience yourself. It's not his fault that the restrictions are the way they are-- he is just doing his job. You made him have to take his attention away from potentially important things to deal with a wisecrack. And also made your own trip more of a hassle then it needed to be. What's the point?
