As I said in another comment just now, I only failed to name the site
in case they did not resolve the matter to my satisfaction. I
didn't want to be seen as making a public whine at them
directly; I was posting mainly to point out the strangeness of
their disconnect protect policy, not to whine at them about $90.
I've changed the post to mention Ultimate
Bet by name.
I should note that I play lower stakes than you, swolfe,
and I can only speak to the $1/$2, $200 max NL HE games on Ultimate
Bet. They are some of the
tight-weak I was talking about in this old post. If you
like running over games, and playing a LAG style "correctly"
because the other players are playing too tight, this is a
good site to play on. Also, the general profile of a player
on the $1/$2 on Ultimate Bet is that they constantly overplay
one pair, misunderstanding that you have implied odds to take
a flop for a small raise with 4 6, because you know they have a big pair
and you know they are going to give you their whole stack if
you flop two pair or better. The best spots are when a player
like this gets some good hands and has $400 or $500 in front
of them, and you've built the same. I've made some nice
double-throughs because of their tendency to always bet the
pot size on ever street if they have or are beating top pair.
I've simply called down someone's overpair for their whole
$500 stack with a made straight, for example.
I should note too that I have only occasionally sat in the $2/$4, 400
max game NL HE there. Those players are sometimes just like the
$1/$2 players, but sometimes quite sharky. It's hit or miss in
that game, and (I presume) higher games.
Finally, I have linked to my affiliate link a few times; if you do sign
up, I'd appreciate that courtesy. :)
