If you right that against the lineup AK is unfoldable, I probably believe
you. I only played one night there because the smoke got to me too much
(like many NYC clubs, they have a "smoking room" that is far too close to
the actual tables to help that at much.
But, I have to agree with roryk that if you aren't folding
AK, cap and fold has to be right. Mere math says that on nearly every
flop, someone has paired (on any card above a 9) or made an overpair, if
flop is 8-high or lower.
Depending on the odds on the turn, you might be able to take a card off
if you know an A is good; as it turned out, that was the worst possible
thing to do because so many weak aces were out in the field that two pair
was likely, and happened.
You mention knowing the game but I see you are in MA. Do you play at
in Boston? Did you play at River Street? Are you in NYC now and used to
be in MA?
