I spent a lot of time looking at tables online last night. I think I would prefer a different kind of table. I realized that for mixed games, we probably want to play 9-handed at a maximum. Given that we don't need ten seats, I would prefer a round table, because poker is more fun and more interactive between people when the table is round. Oblong and oval tables tend to divide the conversation into sides, and alienate some players from others. One big table makes it feel like the game is engaging everyone equally. The best table of this type I found is a 61" round table from The Poker Outlet, but I am reluctant to spend that much ($370, shipping included) until I know my game is going to happen weekly for sure. I'll let you know about the loan; since I don't have a car, and you said it would be hard to fit it in a car anyway, I'm not sure how I can borrow yours, though.
