I'm sort of in the category of young good players who have gotten fairly lucky and moved up in limits quickly, but I understand that I have gotten lucky and that's why the past 3 months have been really good to me poker speaking. At the same time I stay within appropriate bankroll numbers, and depending on what you'd consider my bankroll/expenses, Sklansky would probably consider me grossly over bankrolled. In fact I'll probably be moving down once school expenses start getting to me.
I'm kind of curious about how you filed as a pro. I made about half as much playing poker last year than I did working for $8/hour, and I probably would of been better off considering I can't claim gambling losses on my state's tax return. I also don't agree much with how our government uses our taxes and it's policies, but as you state unlike probably 90% of people who know better, I filed my taxes appropriately.
