my response is that last year had great coverage, you just had to know internet poker and it's culture and you could find it just fine. Many of the same blogs on my friends list were my WSOP coverage last year and it was great then, but it sucks now. As soon as an event approaches the final table there is a black out on all non ESPN or CP media coverage. There's also been huge restrictions on general media access through out this years series. So I actually think the coverage is worse, the CP coverage is dry and uninteresting, the better writers have been shut out. Card squad and the lasvegasvegas blogs are what I followed last year, I think the majority has shifted to poker website sponsored blogs (Paradise and PokerStars) and the ESPN/CP coverage. Last year had fine coverage, I don't think CP's coverage is any better than last year, it's just that it's thrown in your face as soon as you look into the WSOP because they're official and anyone can find card player.
