I think the whole thing about an missed AK is tough. It's one of those limit situations where you find yourself not sure where you are out of position and having to guess. You are unable to bet/raise for value as you should. I always try to be in spots where I can know where I'm at and get the best of it -- either by good value bets or (the very occasional) bluff.
