Betting out on a flop that missed AK was an obvious mistake Dan made; I agree with you there. However, my feeling was that playing AK, even suited, from the SB in a multiway pot that had just been three-bet by the button was not worth it. He had a field of 4 or 5, and it was clear he wasn't clearing that field by capping. (Indeed, they saw the flop four-handed, even though one person had to call three bets cold.) Why not pass AK in this spot?
